Very early in the discussions and meetings of the 'Tourism Action Team' the number of events held throughout the counies communities became a talking point. Each community held a number of events over the winter months while snowbirds came to the region to escape the winter weather. This led to the first official project of the team for 2015/6 winter season. The Passport to Adventure concept was created as a means to increase the attendance to these events. It was felt that by developing a coordinated effort to inform visitors of events and activities in other communities, visitors and local may attend events elsewhere. The initial concept was fairly simple ... create a promotional calendar booklet intended to entice locals and winter visitors to attend community events throughout the La Paz County area. In addition, a brief outline of each community and things to do.
In 2017/18, the Tourism Team has combined the feedback gathered over the past two editions and are proud to present our latest Passport. The team has also built relationship in nearby states, visitor centers and have strong partnerships
In October of 2018, the fourth edition of the passport was released and distributed with 35k copies provided to small business and partners within the county and to the growing relationship in nearby states, visitor centers in the Tri-State area.
The Team could not have achieved the milestones we have managed to achieve with this incredible support from all our partners .... THANK YOU !!!!!!
